Hey guys R2R just released the framework with this in their NFO:

    [5] Mac!!!!!

Our decrypted library is macOS compatible if you know how to! We are lazy
witches and we don't release 100+ products for macOS. Too time consuming.

What could they mean by that ? Crossgridder? Or something else? Would love to hear your thoughts

At first look, this is going to probably get done in Parallels Desktop. This is crazy, at one point in the documentation it mentions that 90% of legit Acustica resources use is gone in their version.

if I had bought these and struggled with them, like I know people have; i'd probably be really pissed off. I guess they won't really be too happy about it either. :drummer:

Exactly what I planned to do this morning.
But I'm positive someone to figure this out for a native system.
(I'm a legit user, only a couple plugins left, sold 80% last year, I will do this slowly!)

yeah the only way is CrossGridder or maybe Parallels...

Because R2R gave us the DLLs for the framework, and you cant use the DLLs native on Mac. (Mac is using dylib format...)

So only if someone is out there who can convert the DLLs to DYLIB format, would be possible to use them natively...

I only use Logic and .Component AU format plugins. What would be some guesses at a best DAW or Wave Editor to use for this, Reaper? I am not going to disable SIP for SB releases.

This nfo is funny, but another takeaway from it is how long they will keep something Internal only. 10 years? lol. "Hi developer!".

well there is no component AU format provided by R2R either.

so only guess is to use crossgridder + vst3 format + DAW which uses vst3 like Cubase, Reaper, Ableton, Studio One.. you can use anything - really depends on your taste and liking.

I'm on High Sierra so I am thinking Crossover 20, Crossgridder 1.5. Reaper 6. once setup maybe just loading the .vst3 into Patchwork will be good enough or other wrapper. This might also be possible using VEP.

I figured it out! [no need of crossovers etc] [i registered so i share]
    Tested on amber. Edit part3.

Part One. Be safe, Acoustica can see modified files when you open Aqarius, so move files out of folders etc, it will be instant ban. But moving it out of folder works and it will be not a big of a deal.

Part Two. Framework. R2R released debloated version without files that are about old processors and decryption, we dont have this. We load original framework, it still has this libraries but it just doesnt use them. To have this framework you need anything from Aquarius [probably some freebie best but i dont think it matters]. It installs /Library/Frameworks/ NEBULAFRAMEWORK.aqu and nebula.framework folder. it is engine.

Part Three. n2s are files that are cracked decoded and compiled again [amazing work] Vst3 and vst3 in mac are not same files, but they are only ones that aren't universal.
    • So you need to have mac version of plugin (download it from aquarius*)
    • change "T" from mac version of trial [stupid but works] vst3 name [ difference in win file with t and without is ONLY T, checked ]
    • and windows r2r release
    • copy all files from windows r2r so both "common" folder and vst3 folder xml
    • but .vst3 that you need to copy needs to be this from trial.
And it just works. Still, once again dont login to aquarius with those files inside plugin folder.

Bonus. If you downloading from aquarius, after you have already installed framework
so there is nebula folder and catalog in
    /Library/Frameworks
you don't need to download whole trial versions gb of them. Aquarius starts downloading into
    /Users/ YOUR USER /Acustica/Aquarius/Stagearea
and if you see it unpack those files already when downloading and it starts downloading by downlaoding smaller zips, those that have vsts. So after it unpacks files that dont have 000 001 002 003 on end , you can stop installation process and only unzip those files and you are good,
Still once again, framework need do be there.

What is needed to work if you want to preserve size between instances:
Modification of xml files, original mac one has
    example of fire the ex
    <USERPRESETPATH> $HOME/Library/Application Support/Acustica/ </USERPRESETPATH>
    <USERPRESETNAME> FIRETHEEXPPRESET.N2X </USERPRESETNAME>
    <PERSISTENTPATH> $HOME/Library/Application Support/Acustica/ </PERSISTENTPATH>
    those windows r2r will have
    <PERSISTENTPATH> $HOME\Acustica\ </PERSISTENTPATH>
--- this doesnt change really nothing, just where data of settings will be stored, should still work, just not original place to save data if you change size -----

Hey what do you exactly mean by that ? Install trial via aquarius and replace the files ? Tried that with fire the pump and it doesnt get recognized anymore- VST3 that is

Also dont you need the framework for the licenses to work ? Or is it just for the plugins to work on Windows in general?

did you maybe replace .vst3 file? if yes, that what you did wrong. You overwrote mac version with windows version. and this file is only one that is needed in first place. It really works. I tested on amber.
    Updated instructions.

Okay, yeah, I think i understand. Did you not have to do anything with the framework then? Did you just use the Amber release?

Yeah nothing to framework, but i cant see if there are some more acustica files vs just stagearea that you can remove and it still works. vst3 from trial of mac, rest is from released for win [but it needs both common and xml]

test by loading amber without the .AUT and maybe .SER file to see if you are running the trial or not.

what is ser file. I dont have ser or aut inside vst3 folder
Algorytmic pars in amber works, im not sure only how preamps should sound, if parts from N2V files are loaded.

There is one thing that is also reason proably r2r didnt release it just. they made their version of framework without bloat, decoding part, and we still need to use one with this bload but bload that will not be triggered because no encryption will be needed

you could try with Fire the Pump? the saturation in that is convolution based (I believe?) -- that would be a good test if it's pulling from the convo stuff properly

appreciate you testing this btw. I am unable to test atm, as an Acqua purchaser (and who uses cherry, ash + jam routinely in mixdowns) -- i'm not sure how to proceed atm basically, and want more assurances before i try anything haha!

Tried to do it right now but the acquarius account got suspended instantly. Hm

And fire the pump for example also works when removing the AUT file

yes, one of the limitations with this method would be the need to download all the trials u are gonna use immediately, because Acquarius bricks if it detects any tampered plugins next time u load it (it's always been that way i think)

They mean that they lost their MAC Division crackers inside their group therefor they are not able to crack for mac anymore... They will only release simple keygen C class releases for mac that doesnt require cracking skills for mac.... The way they present this situation is they call themselves lazy... Happy Hallowen to R2R from a Mac guy

Amber doesn't suck. as a legit user, I sold my Avalon AD2055 EQ after painstakingly comparing it to Amber 2. For all practical intents it is spot on with the hardware AD2055.
