I do not think Mac users will see the same amount of improvements made by R2R. I thought the instructions were complicated and wanted to take a look at it. I'm not using these plugins either way. If you can find a better way to do it, you are more than welcome to have at it.

Can someone make a video on moving the files and doing and showing all the terminal codes to get the plugins in the right places.

Is there a difference between the VST's that are being released in the "mac os" packages and the trial versions downloaded from aquarius? Sometimes you have to go backwards in the updates to get the trial versions working for example Mystic. But what I'm really wondering is if the vst, vst3's etc are derived from the RTR windows versions, or simply working AA trials?

There is not a difference, these au/vst/3 are extracted from the trials.

 

The Mac plugins are derived from the trials, but the "!Common" and other files are from R2R releases. That is why no Mac releases are done until after R2R releases their version.

 

Are there any other Pultecs in the Nebula format? Other than the TimP Dualtech?

this wont work in Macosx Sonoma, unless you create a folder called Acustica and put in Library/Audio/Plugins/Component/( put acustica here)/ ......but the issue is that Logic cant see them inside the acustica folder, they have to then be taken out and dropped all over inside the components folder.

How I got them all to work is

Prep

1. Downloaded Aquarius from acustica website
2. Installed random trial plugin (This should give you the nebula frameworks you need to replace)
3. Download acustica nebula frameworks (from R2R) then place in the correct folder (listed in instructions.txt)

installation

1. Unzip files then unzip ‘common’ folder

2. Place contents of ‘common’ into AU folder, VST folder, and VST3 folder

3. Then in your plugins folder copy contents of AU > Components, VST > VST, VST3 > VST3

4. Refer back to the instructions.txt for the terminal command to codesign the plugins.

Try with more than one plugin. But the instructions you quoted skipped this:

. Create an empty folder called "Acustica" in "username"/Library/Application Support

("username"/Library/Application Support/Acustica)

NOTE: GUI resize settings will be saved in this location. If you change GUI size
without this folder, the DAW will likely crash.

 

I use symbolic links (with a $1 app called symbolic linker https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/10433/symboliclinker ) and the same exact folders sitting on a external SSD, all linked to au, vst vst3 etc..works like a charm, saves space..even after the dirty rats where cleaned up and downsized for ACUStICA Audio who now claims to pay attention, the files are still pretty big...Iam still waiting for Purple to upload and a few more, come one guy!
