I can't imagine anybody testing this and not wanting to put it on everything. It sounds great. Lovely smooth saturation in the texture section, and the dimension effect is much more dramatic in headphones than speakers. It gives you binaural head.

Yesss only using texture and dimension this is a winner, but then you try the filter and the eq and brohh...it's amazing, and then the compressor and bumm! outstanding plugin.
For me this one and El Rey are the best of the year:mates:

Those of you guys complaining about Aquarius... Do you install things asking to Alexa or something? Thing is dead simple to use, only requires an email and never had any problem with it.

See "purchased" tab, click on install. Done. What a pain...

And regarding why do they use this method instead of a download zip file. Answer is also dead simple. Aquarius also works as a product showcase. The front page of the app shows new apps, updates, etc, should you check them and buy more.

Yeah but you're a studio 1 user (no shame in it, I have it and use a bit too, but never with aquas).
So you could have the most powerfull CPU in the universe, it still would choke on any Vst that require power, cause it's poorly designed for CPU use, and here too the devs don't seem to be able or willing to change that.
With a smaller CPU (6700K) it takes 2% with Reaper, 2.9% in bitwig, 4% in Samplitude....256 buffer size. So.
Presonus should be ashamed of the CPU performance of their daw.

I guess those complaining about Aquarius have never used Waves Central? Pretty much the same type of thing, and there are several other plugin developers using this type of installer/activation platform.
Though I understand if you initially have problems with the installer, it would not make a good first impression.

What so hard about Aquarius or any other plugin portal?

    I download the portal, install.
Login, select my product, click install.
Done, open DAW, there it is...

You know what I find so much harder?

Downloading any K'd thru Uploaded or Rapidgator with "per RAR part per hour".
Then you have to unrar, with some more rar file inside the rar file, unrar again
if false alarm, turn off AV, put your PC security in risk, then u can install.
If it easy, open keygen then click generate, done or else....
you need to open host file to edit,
    block this and that,
much harder you need to generate first, and then copy to clipboard,
open daw, run plugin, paste the key, may or may not work.
    Time bomb.

And if you don't like it, certain K'd are so not easy to do a complete clean uninstall.
But still, we all keep doing it all over again relentlessly.

Some people... if you can go thru a lot of hustle just to own something illegally, why complaining when people give away free legit stuff?

Keep getting "Can't connect to server" error when trying to run Aquarius. It's worked fine before. Server overload?

EDIT: Seems that a couple of my protections were getting in the way. Like Comodo firewall.

No hassle dl w/ jdownloader, the reverse. Unnecessary, pointless, expensive api w/ zero feedback? Not so much:

It's moar accurate to say that these freebies ^ are a bribe to get you to install Aquarius. Since I haven't been able to use Aquarius to dl anything, it's not much of a bribe! :D

Me! I put it on nothing.

The saturation is nothing special with Texture doing nothing above 5, also nothing special is the clean EQ, Master version EQ is not linear phase (what's it useful for then?), Dimension doesn't respond to drums and screws up the phase of other sounds in the lows.
Compressor of Mix version is interesting, but Eli Arousor can do not only the same but better/more flexible.

Ah, and as usual, according to Reaper, Zero Latency is again a lie (1024 at 44,1kHz here)!

    Indeed it's a versatile compressor.
A 199$ Ilok 2 compressor. But versatile. Hopefully. For that price.
It doesn't include a high frequency comp like the master unit of Celestial does. It's not free. It doesn't have shelves, nor stereo tools.
    But it's a nice Ilok 2 199$ compressor.
Did I mention you need a dongle to run it ?

Ah. The linear phase eq. Take it with SSL. They did what they did with Fusion. It has analogue eqs, and apparently people seem to be working with those on the Master fine. Celestial is a recreation of that unit. It was tweaked to taste by AA. The point wasn't to add linear phase EQ in an emulated unit that contains none.

Aquarius is flawless but weirdly YOU HAVE TO restart the computer AND NOT OPEN ANYTHING ELSE before doing your installs/updates etc. If you try doing anything in Aquarius after you've opened your Daw things will break.

You mean something like in the lower row? :winker:

Right, it's not a channel strip. But my DAW has shelves and way more versatile ones and stereo tools and they all use a lot less CPU and have way less latency.

Did you not test Celestial at all ? I'm not talking about a hp in the sidechain.
I'm talking about the mastering comp in celestial which only compresses higher frequencies. HF compressor that works splendidely in conjunction with the high shelf when pushed.

What you stopped working in Reaper ? Or does Reaper includes shelves from an SSL gear ?

I have a 64 samples buffer. But it does matter if I set 48 or 1024 samples,it always requires respectively 14% and 17% for the mix and the master versions.
Lot of peoples are bashing S1 on this forum but it's the same consumption in Ableton Live, maybe more than S1.Nobody is complaining about Live and its performances.

BTW I have launched quickly Reaper and I can't believe it, 1.3% cpu!!!OMG I must force myself to get used of Reaper....If I could have the workflow of S1 with the performances of Reaper,it would be the perfect DAW for me.

Don't worry bro I bash Ableton as much as S1 regarding its CPU use.. Both suck in the matter.

Yeah I agree with Reaper and Studio baby. It would be a beautifull one.

Sorry, but what is an internal high pass doing other than this???
And when you're talking about the Master compressor, which I did not compare to Arousor, how about free TDR Nova where I can shape the shelf or even use a bell?

Nope, but I don't care what anyone labels anything, I care about measurements an listening. And I couldn't find anything special in those shelves, apart from some minor bumps in the low shelf.
With the high shelf you're partly right, Reaper's isn't the best (bad code) but that's not the case for the rest of th DAWs/digi EQs (free Nova).
