Aquarius is a brand new assistant application from Acustica Audio for download, install, update, uninstall, authorize or de-authorize your products.

Yep. But you need aquarius and to create an account. You can remove aquarius after installation. It generates a key then you don't need it anymore if you won't get more AA products.

 

Thank you. Is the key somehow tied to the computer or will it work on all computers after it has been generated?

 

It's a unique key that incorporates your computer id.
There is an authorization procedure through their website on your account aera, for offline computer but it's rather complicated (I think you can find details about that on their forum), since you need aquarius to download the product.

Yeah the security is in the key it generates, not in aquarius. It's just a download/authoriztion tool.

As long as it works correctly. In rare cases - like me - a part of it doesn't. But AA staff actually actively tries to fix it, so.

It's not anymore. It was last year promo for xmas, I showed the email to illustrate it. Some people missed it last year and were bothered about it.

 

I tried offline authorization last year for Ceil, but it didn't work. Opened a ticket with Acustica and was told that offline authorization wasn't possible with their free products so you must use Aquarius to get it.
Once it's in your account, they give you several authorization slots, so it is possible to install to multiple computers, however, Aquarius must be installed to get it.
Just wanted to share my experience.

 

Yeah the download must happen through Aquarius anyway, free products or not, so honestly, that's why I emphazised on it earlier, it's quite annoying anyway (transfer the files from one computer to the other, etc)

Didn't know you couldn't generate a key through your user aera for free products.
