Pink 7236 & Pink 2412 are based on CORE8, the revolutionary upgraded multithreading technology by Acustica. It is an optimization of Core7 in terms of high performance, it introduces new important features ( FIR-IIR algorithmic sidechain and predisposition for FIR-IIR clipper) allows to optimize performance of Acqua plug-ins.

Pink2412 & Pink7236 features
■ SHMod, an adjustable attack behaviour shape control that allows you to fine-tune the attack shape for customise Pink2412 compressor attack behaviour for any audio source.
■ SC, continuously variable side-chain filter including a tilt EQ, Pink channel-strip curve, and HPF from 20 Hz to 300 Hz.
■ NYC, parallel compression control for mix dry source with compressed audio.

the Pink 99 Percent off are an joke , it was already used 5 days ago , before officially annoucement and sending mails to customer .

 

This eye and ear candy is one of my favourite of all the wonderful AA plugins! Highly recommended!

 

I love this company's gear, but that interface is off-puttingly lurid.

 

2412 is easy on the eyes but the 7236 is bizzy for sure, until you understand it. Both are powerful comps, 2412 in very Distressor like in flexibility, both must be demoed to understand that if as tools, they are right for you.

 

Bizzy? Well I'm sure its all very kool and amusing the first three or fourth time of use, it's 300th time when you're reloading an archived project and trying to work out just WTF stuff is set to, that will be problem.

 

I see it similar. The GUI is just bad layout work. Everything's too close together, and all the different colors distract more than they help. But, if the sound tech is worth it, people will overcome the GUI (or maybe even re-skin it).

 

In use it's the opposite, at first you are lost but after using it, it's easy to navigate.

 

It is a multi-band comp with a lot of flexibility, the size is fixed because of Nebula 4, dropping later this year. Every Acqua pulls up in N4's rack. Yes the sound quality will make the GUI seem like a small issue, lol. They are improving in the GUI area, Sand is easy on the eyes.

 

Pink 2 is showing up in aquarius, ive already installed it and it's amaxibg, has all the modules/compressors included in one single installation and they're all free for the original Pink buyers. I loved Pink as a go-to channel strip on particular instruments, now it's gotten even better. Also the mouse scrollwheel behavior is smoother and more optimized in Pink 2, up to the point to feel like using actual hardware lol.
I think that Pink 2 deserves a whole new separate post here on AudioSex, even the gui's different.
