Hi all!

I'm using the latest Ableton Soundpacks, but i have found that the samples are locked, they can only be used inside Ableton, I would like to use them with my Elektron Model Samples and MPC, but for some reason they don't work outside of Live, and of course, I get an error every time i try to convert them from some audio batch converter.
Do you know any batch conversion program that eliminates this type of "DRM" automatically?
Or maybe it can only be done by manually resampled and sliced?

Have you tried dragging the file to the track page and bouncing out that track? I know its alot of work but honeslty ive wondered why some samples do that sampla from sonivox does it also and for the life of me I cant figure out why?

 

Yes, that works, if I open one of those samples in a track, and export it to Wav, it seems that is already free, because i can play it on itunes, and the original samples do not play on itunes, or any other player ... . is an option that I have valued, but it takes a lot of work, and that's why i ask first if there is a simpler alternative.
As I have read on an Ableton forum, they are possibly blocking their samples, so that others cannot resell them

 

These are the samples contained in the packs recently published on the sister site:
Glitch & Wash, Punch & Tilt, Build & Drop

With Goldwave, I can open them, but once the batching starts, I get the message "The file format is not supported" in each of the samples, the original format is ".aif"

 

I think it is not strange, since they have done the job well blocking the samples

 

Try Audacity, it's pretty tolerant with strange format audio files.

 

Surely it is, but in this case it is not "strange format files", it is clearly a locking system, so that they can only be used within Ableton. And no, they haven't worked in Audacity either, thank you very much anyway.
