Hey Guys,

I have downloaded the latest Ableton and installed over my existing one,

the problem now is the Keygen doesn't seem to work, my antivirus removes it as a Trojan threat.

first of all: you can't just install the latest official update and authorize it with r2r's keygen. the main exe has to be patched in order to accept the keyfile.
either you download one of the latest provided releases on the sister site that has a patched executable in there or you have to download the patcher by bobdule.
downloading the patcher would be much easier for you since you've already installed the latest update.

also: of course the keygen will be flagged by your AV, but thats a false positive (assuming you've download a legit release by r2r)

 

If you got the keygen from the "legit" place, IE sister site, then it's not a threat, but antivirus will do that even though it is not a trojan. Options include simply disabling the auto protection feature for 2 minutes while working with newly unzipping the keygen and running it. Or if you don't trust this information, sandbox it in a virtual machine and run it isolated from your other stuff, even though it's not actually necessary.

hey there, just a quick question: does anyone have a clue, why my ableton 11.2.10-nogrp doesn't read the authorize file from the r2r-keygen (neither if i drag and drop it, nor if i open it with the ableton-program)? the previous version was uninstalled via revo-uninstaller, so there shouldn't be any files left from the previous version. when i open it the first time, it even doesn't install the core library, which seems strange to me. i had a previous version (the slightly older r2r-release) which worked totally fine, but this one drives me crazy. and i even don't know if it's the specific release that causes this. do you guys have any guesses what i could do?

 

So often i read posts where people use that revo uninstaller, and problems people have,
personally i dont use it and simply delete all traces of whatever it is im uninstalling manually
I find at times that when im installing a newer version of live ,it initially doesnt accept the licence until i shut it down and double click the authorisation file and hey presto tiz all gravy

it can be a little tedious but easy to solve
Also do remember to switch of automatic updates before registering and do not be connected to the web, not without firewalling it and everything installed

 

you cant install over the top of an existing release without cleaning up the original install first
You must delete the relevant data , and also add an exception to the keygen if your antivirus keeps stealing the kgen from you
plus make sure the antivi is set to allow you to pick n choose what to keep or discard that it selects or potentially it will delete it completely

hey there, sorry i forgot to reply but thank you for your reply. meanwhile, i bought a new windows and now it works. i guess, i could have saved this money but the most important thing is that it works by the way, do you have knowledge about ascemu for the arturia collection? can't install it, i get an error message code 3: can't find specific folder. so annoying.

people still using anti virus in 2023?

just turn the AV off if you want to use the keygen. as easy as it gets. R2R keygens are clean.
