I created and edited my skin Ableton Live Skin Editor from Sonic Transfer but their site seems to be down ATM.

If Live 10 looks this great, I'd consider trying out Ableton finally.

 

I like it, myself. I do wish that designers would realize that the human eye thrives on contrast and color. The new 2-D look with a 3-D feel is friendlier. Part of my impairment with getting into Ableton Live has been with the unwelcoming interface, the primitive graphics like lines drawn in ink on a page. Shading, color and contrast is the way to design GUIs - but light gray text on dark gray is difficult for some to read.
