    So I just Installed:
Waves Complete v2016.12.26 Incl Patched and Keygen-R2R

Installation wen smoothly enough: I moved the WaveShell-VST 9.7_x64.dll to my plugin folder, Ableton reads it no problem. but insted of showing all the plugins like it did on later versions, it just shows the studiorack plugin. Which works fine and I can open most of the plugins from there (except a few that crashes).

The thing is I cant find where to get the individual plugins, Ableton just wont read them. Iv tried copying the "Plug-Ins V9" folder into my Ableton plugin folder. Open live, it reads all the individual ones, but when I load one the plugin is just a black screen.... Any help?

I read a similar thread in this forum, but nothing that helped me, Its frustrating...

    Any Help?

You mean "copied" right? There should still be a WaveShell-VST 9.7/9.6 .dll in your Program Files folders
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\WaveShells V9 (for 32-bit)
    or
    C:\Program Files\Waves\WaveShells V9 (for 64-bit)

Restart Ableton and run it as Admin. Also try Compatibility mode for Win 8. You can also try renaming the folder that contains the Waves .dlls and then changing it back. Restart the PC for good luck.

    Yeah I just copied,

I tired everything you mentioned with no luck...

My Plugin folder for Ableton is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg.

    Its where I copied the WaveShell-VST 9.7_x64.dll

That should be it right?? But still when I open Live It only reads the studiorack.

I tried copienf the WaveShell-VST 9.6_x64 as well, but when I open Live it asks me for the plugin folder which when I try to select: C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V9. Nothing happens and it just prompts me to select the folder again.

Now that I think about it, its a bit weird that when I run the installer, it installs everything in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\WaveShells V9

there is no C:\Program Files\Waves\WaveShells V9 (for 64-bit), altho I can find the x64.dll in the (x86) directory...

    I'm simply lost...

Don't just select/highlight the Plug-Ins folder, double-click to open and go into the Plug-Ins V9 folder then click OK. It may ask you to do this twice.

I was mistaken about the Program Files vs the Program Files (x86) locations. What you have should be fine.

    SOLVED!!!!!

Turns out I needed both: WaveShell-VST 9.6_x64 & WaveShell-VST 9.7_x64.dll in my Ableton plugin folder.

    AND

I needed to do a "CLEAN" uninstall of the older versions I had. For any curios here is how to do it:
    http://www.pro-tools-pc.com/how-to-perform-a-clean-uninstall-of-waves-plugins/

Once done, I re installed everything, making sure to execute everything as administrator, copied WaveShell-VST 9.6_x64 & WaveShell-VST 9.7_x64.dll in to my plug in folder, opened Ableton and it didnt even ask me to locate the plugin folder.

SOOO HAPPY!!!! thanks Pinkman for the help
