Ever since I set up Ableton on another laptop for a friend a month or two ago, I’ve been wanting to set it up on my asus ROG Ally but when I open it, the screen goes white then the app closes before even doing anything. Checked for updates in windows, using the latest 12.4.1, will it not work because of the screen hardware or is there maybe something else keeping it from launching?

Ableton loads correctly upon casting to the other laptop for use as a display, maybe it requires a higher base resolution than the screen of the ROG Ally, but I know I can zoom the interface comfortably so why it doesn’t work before is beyond me… I’ll probably have these issues cleared for good once I get a dock and good portable screen, but I will have to try other displays around me to see if I can find one that works for what I want to do or if I do any couch gaming type stuff

Hmm, 1366x768… maybe it is the screen just doesn’t work natively? Think it’s only 1080p at maximum resolution, but I’ll have to look in case there’s a setting I can change even if I have to have black bars on the sides of the screen, I never really encountered a resolution conflict like this before but if I’m restricted to using it with the other screen I can fold it up and stand it upside down and connect like it’s a portable monitor.
