LOL i can imagine ................ but the question here is why a 64bit app uses a 32bit installer ? Isnt it strange ? Maybe they are too bored to make a new installer ? Just some thoughts dont mind to answer , , , Thanks mr Cavally

You must refresh the software. If you have a lot of plugins or softs it will be a long way...

yes you can use a 32bit installer for a 64bit app on windows, windows will always emulate the 32bit software and nobody will notice it.

could also be that the install provides the wrong bit version in the meta data. because Live.exe and the other things are 64bit only since version 11 as 32bit was eliminated.

I can confirm that Ableton 11 also shows as 32bit in my Revo Uninstaller too.

Why would someone think a 32 bit installer application cannot payload a 64 bit program? All it is doing is installing some files. A good example of this is new MacOS software. You can get the wrong files for your processor, but miss noticing why they do not work. People do this all the time with releases.

I think I might have something for all of you:

It's a script that allows you to test any *.exe & *.dll file for its architecture
with a simple right click from the context menu.

I made this for my own usage but I'm also willed to share it.
Source Code of the vbscript is from someone called "Jumpkack 2015"

    Test_x86_x64-r4e.7z

Just run the little "Test x86 x64.exe" installer and it'll place required files to
    C:\ProgramData\Tweaks\Test_x86_x64
+ add the entry to the file context menu

To uninstall, go to that location and run "Remove From Context Menu.reg".
    Then delete the "Test_x86_x64" folder.

I have a lot more context menu tweaks of this kind so if anyone is interested,
I could create a thread about this.

    Precisely.
That's why I say - oh god! Everything was already ansewered in the previous posts, and then the same question is asked again.
And in a manner as if a conspiracy were being uncovered here

By the way OP: I love sentences with three exclamation marks!

    Oh! My! God!

One does not even need to be a computer expert to explain why it makes sense to use a 32bit installer. If you were to use a 64bit program as an installer, it would not run on 32bit machines. Then you would have to provide one installer for the 64bit and one for the 32bit version. So for the sake of simplicity, both versions are packed into a 32 bit exe and that's it.
