Even small sessions unfortunately. I made sure I deleted everything related to Ableton including registry. Did a clean install 2 times. I never had this problem in the past when I was using Ableton Live 10. It only appeared after I updated to Ableton Live 11.
Very weird...
I should also mention that this is happening in 2 different laptops as well...

 

Hello, I have an issue after installing ALive!11 versions from the sister site (.05, .11 and .12). I have no elements showing up in the ususal categories in the browser. I have tried to do a complete clean-up and re-install / reset the DB but nothing have worked so far. I also have an issue regarding the sample folders where the folders structure and audio files do not show up (while they appeared correctly in the ALive!9 and ALive!10 versions).
Could you please help me?

 

Did you ever install Ableton using Symlinks before? If yes then you have to make sure to delete them manually. If no then try to use a program like Revo Uninstaller or Iobit Uninstaller and make sure Ableton gets completely deleted. Then also check manually your Program Data folder and make sure Ableton is dead there. Also Check:
Your Driver letter here. Most probably ---> C:\Users\Your Username here\AppData\Local
C:\Users\Your Username here\AppData\Roaming
C:\Users\Your Username here\Documents
and make sure that Ableton doesn't exist.
Then run again the installation as Administrator and for good measure also disable your antivirus if any. Make sure your firewall doesn't block anything related to the installer as well. Although that's highly impossible but you never know. It depends on how your Computer is configured. Every Pc is different.

 

No, I have never used them for ableton. And I have checked all the folders.

I personally have never encountered this particular issue. Did you manage to solve it, or nothing yet? I don't know what else I could tell you to help you to solve your problem if you have followed all the above steps. The last thing to try is to maybe redownload everything from scratch. In very rare cases the download can get messy.

 

Hi everyone. Got a strange one with a new laptop i've got. I have exactly the same plugins as previous laptop same version of live. On the new laptop if i try to export or freeze tracks it hangs and a force quit is needed. I just cant figure out what is causing this issue and was hoping someone may be able to help. The old laptop has same windows 11 version also. The old laptop stll bounces out the project with no issue and i can freeze tracks without issue.

Which version of Ableton are you using?

 

was using 11.0.6 have tried 11.0.10, 11.0.12 also and always the same problem. Cleaned out everything in hidden folders on every install as well.

2.) Deactivate CPU Power Saving Management in the BIOS

In some cases it is recommended to deactivate the power saving settings of the CPU in the BIOS. Deactivate CPU power management
1. Press the Delete key during the boot process to enter the BIOS
2. Go to -> Advanced CPU Configuration -> Advanced Power Management Configuration
3. Change Power Technology to Custom and Energy Efficient Turbo to Disable
4. Switch to CPU P State Control, deactivate EIST (P-States) and Turbo Mode
5. Then switch to CPU C State Control, change Package C State Limit to C0 / C1 state and deactivate CPU C3 Report, CPU C6 Report and Enhanced Halt State (C1E).

@BEAT16 I dont have those options in my bios. I ran latency mon and these are the things that i could download. This was running ableton with a few clicks and pops but no hanging

I've no idea what all this means. I got the best preformance with asio4all with buffer rate set to 2048. running on myscarlet 2i2 are where the logs came from buffer rate 1024

 

I'm on the latest R2R Live 11 and on a legit copy of Scaler 2 but the latter seems to frequently crash the DAW whenever I have more than four instances. Obviously it may be a Scaler 2 issue rather than an Ableton one.

 

Hallo @Peter Juan, first we want to change the ASIO Driver from Your Audiointerface Scarlett 2i2.
These Driver is most better then the ASIO4ALL Driver.

1.) Open Ableton and use the Preferencen --> Audio
2.) Driver Typ ---> ASIO
3.) Audio Device ---> Focusrite USB ASIO
4.) Samplerate ---> In/Out Samplerate ---> 44100
5.) Default ---> High Quality
6.) Latency --> Buffer Size -- begin with 512 Samples. if you have cracks or noises use : 256 Samples

Yes i had this when i ran the tests with latency mon. When i disconnected from the audio interface i used asio4all. Neither made the problem go away. Its driving me mad i just want tofinish a tarck but cant bounce it out

If u have cracks or dropouts increasing is better, not decreasing the Buffer Size ;)
