Hi, I have just played on my laptop keyboard and noticed that Csus4 is not transmitted. Two notes pressed quicker pressed are playing but the third note is not, eg: CF yes but not G, CG yes but not F, FG yes but not C. ????????? Why???????? There is an issue definitely. But what is it caused by? Live? Laptop? System settings? I can't play other triads either, eg: C Csharp D,

sounds like ghosting caused by the (cheap) circuit of your keyboard

To check whether your keyboard is affected by ghosting hold down both shift keys and type sentence that contains all characters of your keyboard, e.g. the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog

HI. Ghosting terrifies me. This is the alphabet I could write with both SHIFTs pressed down: ABDFGHJKLNSTY. Half of the keyboard doesn't work!!! I have never thought about such an issue!!! My HP G5 laptop is affected by ghosting then, isn't it? What now? Any solution? F...Hell!!! Is it the test I can do before buying every computer? Thank you for enlightening me!!! People discuss CPU, graphic cards, HDD, etc, but never bloody keyboard...

Hi Sir Jack Spratsky, My post is not about it. Anyway Live allows playing only one octave using a computer keyboard: ASDFGHJKL

No, i just like to comment random stuff

I could've understand the wrong way, to go up and down the scale if you're using the computer keyboard, you do it using those keys

    A sfincter says WHAT???

You could also get an additional keyboard instead of a new laptop, since almost all laptops have ghosting anyway (maybe less but still). You would need one with at least 3-key rollover (as long as you stick to triads only). These are mostly mechanical gaming keyboards, but there are also some rubber domes, like the Logitech K750.

Another option would be a real MIDI keyboard [:keys:]. For me, even something like the Akai LPK 25 works much better than any computer keyboard.

It's the rare Csus4 bug in Ableton. Contact the developers.

Cheers mates. The laptop keyboard is not used as a master one I have three other proper ones. But it pisses me off that my laptop is affected with such a common problem I wouldn’t even imagine. It is not Ableton’s problem. It is definitely HP’s problem. How to find a good laptop for making music? It is easy to find CPUs and graphic and audio cards. But how to find a proper bloody keyboard?
