Ableton Live 10.1 CV Tool question

    Hi guys,
    got a question....is this new instrument CV tools could be useful when you use, let's say, for example, a SH 101 which has those CV inputs and outputs to be controlled via Live?
    It will be just synchronised with the DAW, right?
    If that's the case,don't understand the way you will be able to connect those tiny jacks out of the synth to the computer?USB on the other side(jack/USB)?Midi(jack /midi)?
    A bit lost...
