This sounds painful as a FL Studio user.

 

Yeah, you raise interesting and important points. I fully admit to ignorance when it comes to ARA(2), but maybe somebody who uses it can fill in. How does ARA deal with warped audio? Because wouldn't that imply that the host has to render the clip into a separate buffer passed to the plugin kind of defeating the purpose of ARA in the first place.

Maybe Live could expose things on clip by clip basis and sending loop information (or just repeating time segments) to the plugin, but it'd still have to deal with warp points somehow.

 

So we have v12.2. Telling the truth they stopped exciting me with might-be flashy updates if they don’t implement ARA for communicating between industry standard plugins like Synchroarts or Celemony plugins. I feel lucky that they implemented ReWire thou it’s becoming abandoned standard nowadays. I visited IMSTA FESTA in London last Saturday and saw Pro Tools, Cubase and Samplitude how they worked with Melodyne with ARA2. I felt stupid as a Live’s user…

 

ARA isn´t meant for realtime use like Ableton, could be hard to implement without fucking the live´s program code

 

Melodyne worked like a charm realtime plugin in Pro Tools and Cubase.

 

I personally don't care about ARA and if so I slap an instance of melodyne
and for the PDC stakes.... too I don't give a dam fuck

I produce and finish track in ableton way better than any daw out there

Doesn't officially release until June 11th, says so on the website.

 

i see its been released in some places. im in LA, so its still the 10th, but its the 11th elsewhere. the download is available on the Ableton Subreddit.
