I must've mixed up the numbers and I checked and I'm using 9.6.2, good looking out though =). I think it might also have something to do with the fact that I'm also using the custom Seapush script to make push mk1 a tad bit more exciting to look at as well as a few other customizations. Are there any optimizations I need to know about under the hood other than the enable multicore option in preferences?

The internet tells me that it is nightmare to make proper skins for Live, and I confirm: most skins I tried are garbage. So I stay with the factory skins but dialed in the colors I like.

First I came up with this
    - skin: default 8
    - brightness: 100%
    - color intensity: 42%
    - color hue: 0"

    tried this
    - skin: default
    - brightness: 151%
    - color intensity: 41%
    - color hue: 230"

    and that
    - skin: calcium
    - brightness: 115%
    - color intensity: 28%
    - color hue: 0"

and for quite some time now I'm happy with
    - skin: default 8
    - brightness: 100%
    - color intensity: 53%
    - color hue: 31"

Only minor complaint Ive evr had is that live looked like a real mixer... that is it.

Live is the best fuckin daw period... I can make beats so fast in it... that other daws I feel like my limbs are severed off and my genitals are removed.

LT is the best Ableton Live skin EVER. I tried so many themes but LT is the only one that looks perfect to me.

Ableton need to understand that Live isn't only used by DJ's/EDM producers anymore, I know some studios use it as their main DAW to record bands, film composers use it, people make all kinds of music with it. So I really hope Live X will introduce record takes (for both MIDI and audio) this is the only thing that I miss for live.

i use it for drone, ambient and whatever experimental music i do. i have no use for the Session View, it would be nice to deactivate it somewhere to have full piano roll. also a Template menu would be nice, like Logic has for example.
or simply just make 2 versions and charge for both. like Live and Studio or "Not Live" :disco:
a notation feature would be awsome too for scores so i could finally learn notation.

when beta testing is over for this version and 9.7 enters RC and gets a final version.

    Hi articStorm,

i read about a full piano roll.
And know you don't like max for live and this has nothing to do with Live 9.7 ...... but i have bought midi-multiclip-editor
    http://isotonikstudios.com/chaos-culture/midi-multiclip-editor/
It's amazing.. you can make the piaonroll BIG, there are scales in ect..
the feel of the pianoroll is the same as in Live
AMAZING i am so happy that is must write it here LOL
Feels like i have small amount of Fl pianoroll back.

Best buy of the month for me!!

Looks pretty cool. Not sure if it's worth 20 bucks to me but I'm gonna think about getting it. Thanks a lot for the tip

I actually love ableton as DAW. I used to think using fruity loops was cheating, because of how easy it is to create and lay tracks. I've just gotten used to using ableton and have become proficient with it. Takes me 20 minutes to work a beat and master it. Fruity loops took me ages :p

honestly, I don't understand how a song can have over 10 tracks to it. A wise man once told me "less is better". Since then, I've only used maybe 5-8 tracks for fx, drums, hats, synths, 808s, and leads.

when ableton is going to address the no PDC when send the return back to a bus i need to sidechain certain frequency's to have a good workflow (no automation) saves a lot of time. I cant use a normal bus because then i lost control how wet the effect becomes or u i need for every layer x effect a input bus. Like 10 busses x 3 effects i need 30 extra busses pfff then it gets a mess.
Ok i can sidechain every single bus (which i also don't like to do)

Or fix the issue that certain plugins cant do their magic (sidechaining) on a return bus... waves C6 / trackspacer / plugina alliance dyn eq for example lucky their is lfo tool that works. But still i prefer c6 or a decent multiband sidechainer. You need this nowadays.
And fdont forget about other plugins that dont work in ableton also no VST3...

Or i am just lazy? or do i need 2 say crazy?
