Actually today on french music forums there was a leak about pictures of ableton 10, they were quickly censored by the mods who then explained that ableton france contacted them asking for removal. So if ableton got involved, the leak was prob real, and i'd say it's coming soon. Mr Bill also tweeted it was already in closed beta.

 

Yup, I confirm, there was a leak in the french community that have been asked to be removed by Ableton France. So something's moving...

 

Were there actual pictures from Live itself ?

 

although i am a big fan of Ableton live. i would say don't expect too much. live had never big big new versions. rather some well needed functions . but i keep silently hoping on something big too

Now seriously, VST3 support is one of the few "important" things Live lacks, isn't it?
I don't use it since ages but I'd do if I had more RAM and I like it. Clearly you know it well.

It's a big temptation to ask for newer versions but the really important thing (bugs aside) is asking for new features/improvements. In that sense I dig Ableton policy with version numbers.

Exactly this. Well I hope for groups in groups, automation snap to grid and comping maybe which I highly doubt.

 

With 2013 being the last major release..... they should have these requests PLUS tons more. (Keyword: should)

 

i truly hope they fix the ram issue, omnisphere and machine are so heavy in ableton alone

Yeah that guys redesign is awesome, think Ableton did get in contact with him, from what i remember reading at the time.

Really hope Ableton pulls their finger out for this update.... and gives their customers what they've been asking for.

If version 10 is a fail... I could definitely see a lot of producers getting tired of the bullshit and jumping ship to the likes of Bitwig that are constantly releasing updates every couple of months.
