Ableton 10 problem

    Hi, I have just got a problem with the browser in Live 10.1.42. I have added here a folder with all projects. Live stopped seeing some project files also. Windows Explorer shows files properly. The association of als files in Windows Explorer is correct. I can open them by clicking on them. But I can't see some of them in Live's browser. I happened recently after launching a program when I got an error problem with some corrupted xml file but I pressed OK by mistake and the program launched with new settings. The default template hasn't changed.
    I reinstalled the program but the problem remains.
    Any help?

    try a different better Daw ! Studio One

    Try Ableton Live 11. Supposedly improved browser according to Ableton.

    Had installed to relearn & assist my son who has chosen to use Ableton. Do not understand why Ableton uses so many non-standard ways of handling files among other things (no clip gain on track as one example). Finally got frustrated with the impediments to work flow & uninstalled. My son will have to fend for himself.

    Much prefer Bitwig for this type of DAW.

    Over on the left panel just above 'user library' do you see a spinning circle with the word 'places?' next to it? If so then wait for it to stop spinning as it is searching for new files not yet found.

    When a program just changes behavior after the user has some "I didn't mean to" style event, you don't need a new version or a new program. You just have to figure out what key combination he pressed on accident.

    but if you reinstall and it does the same thing? it's because you did not fully clean up the first installation before attempting to reinstall it.

    Resetting has helped. It has scanned user library for a few minutes and now it is alright.
