Waves offers a range of products in addition to Abbey Road Studio 3 that aim to simulate an ideal listening environment.

Question: Are these products distinct enough to warrant choosing one over the others?

Question: Should SoundID Reference be placed before or after these simulations in the listen bus, for instance, in Studio One? Or is it advisable to use it at all in this context?

Question: Does it make sense to use such room simulations? Since these virtual spaces do not reflect the real acoustic environment, could they potentially distort the final mix?

    Thank you for your thoughts.

SoundID should be placed before a room simulation. Unless the simulation offers an adjusted response curve for your specific headphones. In that case you shouldn't have SoundID running at all.
