that´s what they do in many other fields with success already, at least in countries with legal aid for both, private persons and corporations, this is a large business area.

 

it is even worse.

such a company could just buy all titles from flea markets or itunes and then they use a legit copy - to do something with it which is currently simply not regulated, so it naturally ends up before courts.

 

Regarding "trained" AI ...

I wonder what about all the musicians ... all trained on Bach, Beatles, Stockhausen, Swift ... all their work in the coming hundreds of years will be subject to copyright infringement suits. Let alone all the autodidacts that have learned from listening to records, radio and live shows. Every musician will be sued by every other musician that was before him.

And for the writers ... every writer has learned from all the writers before him, yep, has learned from everybody who has used language in his presence. Has learned from TV, newspaper, every conversation ever happened.

And the painters ...

And the architects ...

And the ...

See, where all that is going? It's just simply stupid. Recommended: let AI do the heavy lifting, lie about using it, done. You lie about where you get your ideas from, why stop lying now and pretend t4o be a honest broker of the pure arts?

I generally agree with your opinion.
If you were inspired by a song and composed a tune, would you pay a fee to the creator of the song that inspired it?
AI is also just analyzing and learning and spitting out the results.

We, too, present the results of something as our own to others when we create something, when we express an opinion, when we come up with an idea, and when we make music. But we also spice up the results with our own unique ideas and interpretations. I believe that AI is no different.
Also, AI is still an area that needs more research and improvement, but AI today, in the case of musicians, is still at the beginner level where they are just starting to learn music theory, and there are many areas where it is distinct from music created by a flesh-and-blood human being. It may still be a long way from surpassing humans.

 

Theses days company even tolerate selling warez or offering a warez subscription service.

I found the key word in your thread title post to be 'TODAY.' I took this as being in our current socio-economic, socio-political environment including all associated with it in making money.

IN SHORT: Count how many companies have got away with things nobody thought anyone should or could? Anything deemed as suspect or potentially illegal has be shown that people will do it for as long as they can get away with it. What you put forward is minor next to some corporations who should have been taken to task decades ago.

 

If someone trains an AI how to steal digital money from a bank ledger, let's say one billion dollars, which the bank actually doesn't have and routes it around the world a million times so that it is untraceable, can the programmer claim fair usage of those credits and redistribute $100,000 into the accounts of poor people the programmer feels worthy and in need? The programmer isn't using the money, but rather giving it away for free.
