I am in the UK and had Sky as my ISP several years ago and kept using their email address. However, it’s backed by Yahoo! and recently I have been locked out and account not working many time over the past 3 or so months to the point where it is now too unreliable.

Anybody got any recommended accounts that are solid, reliable, likely to be around for years and free? I know there’s gmail but I already have a Google account linked to my phone etc so would get confusing managing to google accounts. I’ve also tried outlook.com but for some reason it keeps crashing and won’t let me create an account.

    Anybody got any suggestions???

Protonmail.com. Very spartanic but stable and so far reliable.

It is extremly easy having two gmail accounts linked to your iphone. I do not find it confusing at all. You could give it a try, I think you will be happily surprised how smooth it is implemented.

Outlook would be the one, or GMail. I dont have any issues with either, problem must be your phone, or you ;p

    +1 to Protonmail

my 2nd choice to that is Yandex.Mail. It's like Google to Gmail, Microsoft to Outlook, and Yahoo! to Yahoo! Mail. This one is Yandex to Yandex.Mail. *If you get what I mean in terms of its service and structure provided overall, with cloud storage and search engine and passport to its apps and stuffs* (Russian based)

3rd choice is China based, Baidu. (Baidu Passport). Use google chrome and turn on auto-translation to help with registration and stuffs. :shalom:

Yandex is too often use by spammers and is blocked in a lot of places. Here you can't register with a yandex email.

I think I might have narrowed it down now. Considering going with GSuite or ProtonMail Plus. Both are about £4 per month, but also give you your own domain etc. GSuite, due to Google Drive, also gives tons more storage space if needed but seems to charge an extra annual fee for the domain. ProtonMail seems more secure and doesn’t appear to charge annually for domain, but has much less storage space.

Anyone got experience of either of these?

Are you planning on doing something illegal or shady, go with proton, otherwise I think you will like the user friendly features of gsuite more.

Yandex for some reason never worked for me. I could register but the e-mails would never arrive. Of course I didn't leave them any phone number for validation (any service that asks for phone numbers can basically fuck off). I had no problems with protonmail, though and they don't need a phone number.

Yes, in 2015... Today you would have received a message asking you to register with an other email provider.
