So I finally got my act together and installed Kontakt (Bobdule 8.1, Windows 10, Reaper 7). Some libraries load up fine, with the 'Kontakt Button.exe' found in the respective folder. Others will only load via File > Load > .nki (this method has 2 drawbacks: I have to load each part of some instruments one by one, in the case it has different articulations; and I also have to reload the .nki every time I open my DAW again.) And still some libraries will not load in any way (e.g. 8Dio). I did read the txt file, but found it a tad obscure. Sorry for asking a question that must've been asked 1000 times, but I couldn't find an answer researching this forum.

 

I've come to realize that while there was no thumbnail for the libraries added by creating an nicnt, their presets were showing under the Kontakt thumbnail. Is this the usual way of working with this Kontakt release or I'm falling short?

 

I think, you can use an individual thumbnail when creating nicnt files. How to do that, I don't know. Feel free to post your solution here
