Pretty good track! Mix is a little bit dull for all the energy in the song, vox sound pretty darn good though. Overall top notch!

    its cool i like it

the vocals are better than the other things ( but at same time you can hear that the potential is there for all the instruments to be just as good.)
my suggestion ( if it is okay to suggest lol)
is to expand upon the musical foundation itself ( music theory end of things)
for example the drums and effects and vocals are high energy but the progression and arrangement is very still
make your chord progression match the energy level and create more movement there
take advantage of your V to I progression more to create movement
(right now feels like your sitting on your home chords too much right now)

so say in the KEY of C major for example

    !.cegb home
    2.dfac away
    3.egbd home
    4.face away
    5.gbdf away
    6.aceg home
    7.bdfa away

aceg=cegb=egbd= home (they the same as each other)

dfac=face=gbdf=bdfa= away or tension they the same as each other)

make progression alternate between home and away to create a sense of motion, kind of like how your drums and vocals already sound like THEY have motion.
hope that helps let me know if you WANT any help there with that stuff.

Good work! It's a Yes from me. I'm a fan of rock-guitars and keys combis. Good vocal melody.
Like artwerkski said, the mix could be better, it's a bit too dull, no harmonics in the bass to be heard and, for me, especially the snare lacks a bit punch.

Thank you for your feedback. Will work in the mix a bit! It's great to have someone else listening because the ears become tired after a while :)

Very good stuff mate. @MMJ2017 has already made some very good suggestions so no point for me to propose alternative arrangements. Imho the mix is well balanced but the vocals sit way too upfront. Try cutting 2 dbs from the vocals buss and -if you have the time perhaps- start a new mix with the vocal first and bringing everything slowly up. Also having the vocals louder than supposed makes the mix somewhat duller, instruments become a bit insignificant, and some of the track's energy is lost in favor of the vocals. There is always ways to make the vocals sit nicely in a loud mix with heavy gtrs.
My typical way is to make small eq cuts in the instruments that coincide in frequency with the vocal, thus letting the vocal take its own space in the mix without the need of raising its volume too much.
Cheers and good luck with your work :)
PS: This for all my younger friends (if anyone's reading), remember the eq was originally made as a correctional tool, in time you will find it is better to cut some than to boost some... cheers

Sounds great! Congrats for you and the others. Keep it up

  13. The mix is getting there, the lyrics being a bit weak in the knee though. Try to find a way to express the emotion that needs be related in a way that engages the listener and not just filler to make a song's worth of words.

nice song, great energy, good singer and overall good work!

when everything plays the voice does not cut thru imo, it lacks crispness, its a lot easier for our brain to understand words if the transients are well defined.
maybe you dulled the transients too much with compression / de-essing ?
    try to increase Attack.

or duplicate the vocal track and leave one uncompressed, cut away everything after the initial transient or push the upper mid/high frequencies on it by subtracting everything else and mix it together.

at 2:02 the problem goes away, leaving me to guess you have to cut out frequencies on other stuff to make space for the voice as-well.

at 2:02 the lower voice resonates, try some tight cuts on it using this technique.

could sound great if you apply some crazy stereo/pan effect on it there.

take my sugestions with a grain of salt, i tend to overcomplicate things :winker:

maybe best thing to do is to give the raw tracks to a professional mastering studio, they will fix that easily.

one track does not cost a fortune and i think this one is well worth it

    my 2 cents
