I'm not the best at theory, i do more mixing and sound design, (even though i'm at grade 8 guitar )

but here is a website i use a lot when trying to spice up my progressions.

    http://www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/piano/

so i'm in the middle of making this progression, and one of the chords just didn't feel right with the drums. so i stumbled upon this website.

    https://autochords.com/

you select your key etc. and it comes up with a main chord progression 1,3,5 and alternatives for you to use.

i found it useful because even though i know about inversions etc. i always find it it hard to remember them from memory.

hopefully it'll help some of you! :like:

I've used autochords on occasion but the piano one is new and useful since I have a new digital piano :)

I really, really wish that my DAW (Studio One) had all of those amazing scales built in. Or even a way to save some of my favourites. I love experimenting with them. I guess I'll have to put them in by hand, luckily that chordhouse site is a fantastic resource for it. Very cool, thanks!

major/minor chords have fix patterns on the piano worth to learn them https://www.udemy.com/piano-chords/learn/

the problems begin with the inversions because they have to be learnt one by one, but the normal chords(without changing their positons for the easier playing) have fix ones

Ableton Push can help here because the patterns are fix for the inversions too, but for normal positions piano is also enough
