Some Piano led Electronica... a more spacey feeling, as opposed to my last one, which I felt was more "down to earth".

No prizes for guessing who or where its inspired from!

Yep, liking this a lot............might be something to do with my present mindset

Maybe a touch of the piano highs...........just a bit too forward 2.5-3.5K ish

 

Put some Vintage EQ + Processing and it'll sound like it was take straight off a 1996 Trance set. Nice track!

I did cut some frequencies out of the piano... Dont remember where on the spectrum... Will check later in the project file and reconfirm...

Not really digging the super compressed snappy bass. It's actually creates a quite unique effect when listening on loud volumes but I would go with more traditional electric bass sound.

Is it sampled? To my ears there's something off about it.

 

Trance? Wasn't what I was aiming for... But if you think its good... I'm glad

I'd be very interested in hearing a trance track that's similar to this... I like trance though I normally associate it with 4 on the floor thumping grooves... Pls share if you have any similar tracks...

It is a synth bass sound... I was specifically avoiding a regular bass sound to stay in a more electronica zone... i dont remember which synth and patch... I'll reopen the project file and update with details.

And yes... I did want a loud volume to accompany the track... Kind of like a background score to a montage of touching life moments...

 

Holy poop I was pretty sure it was a (sampled) bass played with a pick.

Personally (and this is just my opinion, I don't want to tell you what to do since it is pretty obvious you know what you are doing) I would see this track building up towards some sort of more organic emotional post rock thing crescendo. Like something you might hear on a Danny Boyle movie soundtrack.

 

I think Helvetica meant Robert Miles from 90´s, the club classic

 

A very pleasant couple of musical minutes. Great to hear an instrument being played by someone into the moment, rather than programmed for effect.

 

Yes i have to agree here ,it reminded me for a second ''the dream house" sound as it was called back then,

Hi @Riot7 ... its a patch called Wow Bass 2 from Omnisphere 2... completely synth based...

I love the Danny Boyle movie piece... but, that wasn't where I wanted to go...I dulled the attack using envelope shaper in cubase to reduce the clickiness which i liked but there was too much of... And I have given it a bit of a sidechainish volume automation
