That's the way everything in this world is supposed to go: more or less slowly and in circles down the drain. :))

I've been increasingly wondering how I'm supposed to physically keep up. I already spend ~15-20% of my non-work time cleaning up after updates, working out ways to sidestep a growing mountain of software bugs, waiting for websites to start working again, solving captchas, reading ToS changes, trying to figure out why electronic devices randomly start breaking, undoing settings silently re-enabled by updates, clicking away newsletter and cookie banners (yes, I'm using an adblocker, filter lists and extensions for that), writing support tickets, writing ANGRY support tickets, etc, etc.

It used to be 1% of the time. At some point it's going to become physically impossible to maintain.
