96kHz Project vs 48kHz Project

    Now I think there is something with OTT.
    Without Weiss there is difference betwen 48kHz and 96kHz.
    Without Saturn there is the difference too.
    But without OTT I don't hear any difference.

    That's my conclusion too. I took your 48kHz recording and made the following exports at 48 and 96kHz:
    • Saturn only
    • Weiss EQ only
    • Saturn, Weiss EQ, Saturn
    In all cases there was a small difference in a nil test but inaudible for me to differentiate in an A-B test.

    So, it's neither the SR, nor Saturn, nor the Weiss EQ. Conclusion: it's either OTT, or you messed something up.

    Ladies and Gentlemans.
    There is serious bug in Ableton Live 10.1.3 Stock Multiband Dynamics or something is screwed up with saving or something else.
    I test it.
    I save settings of Multiband Dynamics as device.
    I deleted all processing plugins and drag and drop saved device and sound the same at 48kHz and 96kHz.
    But when I delete everything except originally saved in project Multiband Dynamics it sound different.
    This is not the end. When only original Multiband Dynamics was left I drag and drop saved one and turn of original.
    Haha moment.
    Now saved one sounds different at 96kHz and 48kHz.
    When I turn off new one and turn on original now original sounds the same at 48kHz and 96kHz.
    I test it again and now both act the same and sounds different at 48kHz and 96kHz.
    And this is not the end :crazy:

    In first test saved one sounds the same at 96kHz and 48kHz (more bassy one) but I have feelings that it sound different than multiband dynamics at 96kHz from original project.

    So from the same setting there are 3 different sounds? :suicide:
    Or maybe I'm too tired and had hallucinations :yawn::boombox::mad:


    Can someone test if the same bug is in Ableton Live 11?

    depends how the DAW handles the samplerate change
    - does it run all the plugins FX upsampled, then rendered
    - or does it render master and then upsamples it?
