During the intro the tail of SN was taking tons of room,
It had created on me a problem counting the beats. Then I found that the sub'd lost its space when appeared.
I mean the Sns have the capacity to focus the beat so I prefer them sharper. Just my lil ears and opinion.
It's a weird track with different pulses and moods, building up high and full, detailed with currents but falling then to the (brassy) Sn which seems to be on business :grooves:

Thanks Rolma, but I'm afraid some of your thoughts are lost in translation. Would you make the snare less long or what do you mean? What do you mean by 'sub'd'? Do you mean that the snare is in the same frquency as the bass?

    They might be lost....
yes, first thing I'm talking about the tail of the snare...(too long to my taste)
and yep the bass it's not sharing the freq but needs more presence and separation. (again my thoughts)
    Hope it helps

drums/percs and synths/bass play in different rooms ... their grooves (quantisations) don't fit together. straight vs. shuffled...all the time.
this tom fill (?) sounds awful...sorry...

but I like the synth-created atmosphere.

I prefer your (selected) ambient works.

    hi

first off, thanks for sharing your music here for us-

i think what they were saying above about quantization issues is correct, but that is easy enough to fix

the song screams neon spandex tights and acid wash jeans to me, so your 80's experiment is a success on that front!

keep being creative! keep making music!

with every song you make you will learn more, and the cool thing is, it never stops!

    :)
