I'm trying to make an 808 slide effect like this song in the 0:44 minute does anyone know? I tried with the fl studio sampler, and with a sine wave and a lote of distortion but doesn't sound the same.

 

Don't use distortion. Pick a suiting waveform instead. Then just portamento/glide it (or pitchbend automate it).
maybe add a lowpass filter set at above the highest pitch reach, just to stop the upper harmonics (depending on your choice of waveform/wavetable).

Our sound design wizard @Baxter said it all. it's fairly simple. If you're going to add a lowpass, use a plugin that has analog modeled filters and drive the signal pre-filter to make it sound more gritty.

 

I finally got it really simpler than I thought, thanks for the help Baxter and Amirious
