Well, i can tell you this, that the Bass is played by a real Human, which gives a lot of Funk to the Track :)

Great mix! I would say it's almost perfect (IMO, ofc). Some tiny details here and there that I reacted to, but nothing major. Love the track as well!

The track is great my only thing I would add is some Guitar lead. The Guitar that I am hearing could use a little more versatility. Very minor stuff.

Wow what a great track! The only suggestion i have: the strings that appear at 1:42/3:00/etc sound a bit cheap. Not sure if it's the sound itself, or that it could use more reverb or other fx. But apart from that, very impressive! Even the outro is nice!

Good waking up to this song. Nicely done. But watch out with this particular label. I worked with someone that released there and never got paid. Sure hope you are not being scammed.

Oh I really love that kind of groove - late 70s early 80's is peak sound for me. Congratulations on getting the feel just about right.

The tight damped snare is spot on, and moderate claps or whatever coming in with just the right smack a few milliseconds before if I'm right? Real bass is great. Keyboards good. Nice voice and a good positive song to revive.

One of the toughest sounds to find is the kick drum - which you've almost got to my kind of sweet spot... though for me just a little less "squash" and a little tighter "thud" or thump maybe??? But its the best I've heard in a long time. The only reason I nitpick is because I'm listening critically and you asked...

Care to share how you got it? All of the acoustic drum libraries seem geared for boomy rock or something. Like banging on cardboard boxes to my ears, or oil drums for the snares. Toontracks easy drums did ok with the tight damped room, but their kicks are average at best to me. I don't want cracks or flaps, I don't want booms or bangs, I want proper tight, damped deep thumps! And not Abbey Road 70s cardboard boxes. Listen to the classic party tunes everyone still loves - like any of the Solar (And the beat goes on etc.) or Philly stuff, EWF - and tell me anyone who even knows how to get that kick sound today. Well, you got very close.

Good rhythm guitar chops are also hard to do on a keyboard unless somebody else's sample loops, but not needed for every song so not a problem.

I agree with the other guy about the strings. That's a skill in itself, the original had a concert master (was it Gene Orloff, or am I misremembering?) and full string ensemble in Joe Tarsia's Philly Sigma Sound studio. It can be done with sampled instruments though.

For me overall, given that it's billed as "neo" disco/funk and you weren't trying to copy the original exactly - actually the groove even more solid than the original in some ways - it hit the target. Full marks for being streets ahead of most everything else I've heard lately. I'd dance to it - and you might be impressed!!
