Any recommendations for a VSTi with these qualities:
    - not a rompler
    - great for pads, specially lower notes
    - stable
    - good on cpu/ram
    - 64 bit
    - lots of presets :)

    ?

I know most would say Omnisphere but having to wait few seconds between each patch is just crazy.

I suggest you get an SSD to speed that up. The price on them are dropping. Make sure the hardware is competent before the software. Tone2 and NI FM8 and Absynth have good pads, if you're into cool presets.

  4. Omnisphere is fantastic, but not a pure synth (hybrid VST instrument based on Spectrasonics´ "STEAM"; >40 GB after installation).

Check Zebra², Helix, Diversion (CPU-heavy, but very prestine sound quality), Surge, impOSCar² ...

    What ArticStorm said,
except Alchemy, because if you have to wait a few secs with Omnisphere when changing patches, the same applies to Alchemy. *yes*
