    Hello all,

Not sure if this goes in this section; so let me know if so please.

Is there a VSTi or kontakt library or similar of a 5 or 6 string bass? I see all these nice VSTi coming out (like the Ample Sound ABP, which is really cool).

But I am wondering if there is one that has the extra string(s) to get those very low notes. And, on the side, I am wondering if there are any that refer to a specific make and model, such as BCRich, or any other.

No idea about this as I usually just play real instruments, like the good 'ol fart I am. So I am hopeful that someone will surprise me.

    Thanks in advance, audiosexuals!

I do not remeber because I deleted, anyway usually the 5th strings sounds wrong/detuned, seams like a bad sample. Even real basses with a good 5th are hard to find.
Iconic bass Jaco have an extended range, but you can do that with any bass lib... but its sound good but its freetless
    some that have 5th
    Ilya Efimov Modern Bass 5-string
    Prominy SR5 (that I erased)
In the Chris Hein have own too (that I also erased)

Spectrasonics Trillian has 4,5,6 strings + chapman stick, as well as everything else you could need

Wow you've never used Trillian? That is one of the best bass libraries out there for both real and synth bass. Spectrasonics rule. :keys:

I know dude. I am just discovering it. But I'm using a midi controller... How do you use it with a real bass / guitar? Don't forget that all this digital stuff is very new to me. I'm an old fart, remember? :p
