Dear Experts, I'm searching for a tutorial to bounce 2ch mixes to 5.1 ch further with Dolby encode with Logic Pro X (that's the DAW I know). There is little material on youtube which is not clear.

Can anyone guide me on this.

If it's already a 2 ch. mix, you might wanna upmix it to 5.1 - with a plugin like Anymix or Halo.
If you wanna make a new mix in 5.1, there are a few tuts on YT for setting up a proper routing.
But in both cases you need a soundcard with at least 6 outputs.

If you want to do 2>5.1, Best upmixer is DTS neural upmix, the original edition, not waves edition (Halo is p.bad in terms of SQ), but most upmixes still sound bad.

If you want a dolby digital stream, dolby digital supports 2ch, there is no need to upmix. just make 2ch DD, and then the customer can upscale to 5.1 using Their Receiver (in PLII mode) if they want.

If you want to do 5.1 > 2, Logic might have some downmix stuff.
