Was it not discussed here at AS maybe last year that infinitewave is part-owned by one of the iZotope guys?
I doubt the service could show any false differences, but isn't it owned by one of them?

I've been thinking of posting that video. Thank you! :)

Smooth... well noticed. Anyway, it is a very good info [the video], but especially when you keep what you said in mind. It really helps people to make better decisions and know how to avoid bloody aliasing. That's why I mostly use hardware for compression, distortion, saturation, to avoid bringing my computer to its knees with high oversampling in every plugin, or working at 96k or even higher [Crom forbid lol], and all the plugins in my mastering bus chain are set to 8x OS always [heil Voxengo :)].

Absolutely, the principle is correct, no doubt.

just got the chance to watch the video, very informative this also confirmed that my ears haven't been lying to me the pass few years when it comes to distorting at 48k with highest HQ over-sample.

That's the gist of it. I explained it recently on another thread. From https://src.infinitewave.ca/faq.html:
Oh, and "one of the best results" my ass. When I checked this site (4 years ago?) Izotope products wiped the floor with everything else in a way that was just embarrassing from my ethical POV.
Now at least some are close... perhaps Fabfilter also called them home?
