What happens with my content and plugins if i update from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 ? Is it worth updating, is it safe? Do i have to uninstall first the 4.1.1 version before i can update to 4.1.2 ? Any experiences ?

If you are using legit version, everything will be kept as it is. If it's cr**ked - you need to wait for R2R release.

 

Your question and title are in conflict. There is no 4.1.2 cracked as of today. So I dont know if you are trying to install the unpatched update on top of the patched 4.1.1 . When there is a 4.1.2 "patched " update you can simply install it on top of your patched 4.1.1. If you install the unpatched update on top of your patched 4.1.1 you are going to mess it up. Be patient. Wait for the patched update.

Edit: According to some members there is a patched 4.1.2 out. Therefore, if there is one and you have it, install it on top of the one you have. I think R2R suggests to uninstall previous but I never did it after 4.0.

There certainly is a 4.1.2, and it does work. I just installed it.

I'm using the latest patch version 4.1.2 R2R. I don't use the sis page.

Latest version is 4.1.2.50657 R2R. Sharing R2R downloads is not right in here.

 

So you got it from torrent tracker, I understand But it's not an official R2R release. It's a repack.

 

Presonus needs an elicenser like cubase or pro tools. SO4 Is a great DAW with great flow. People use R2R for monetization.

 

AS ALWAYS Presonus couldn't do some nice bugfixing update without fucking up something important. This time it's about bend markers. There is various reports indicating that projects using bend markers made in 4.1.1 or earlier get screwed if you open them in 4.1.2.
Also I saw a couple of people saying that bend markers are not working ok on 4.1.2 either.
I don't use bend markers, and I'm a legit user but I'm telling you I wouldn't install a fresh SO update if you pointed a gun at me.

EDIT: it seems like if you're on a Mac you can say good bye to Studio One X with this update. In windows it's still working but who knows for how long.

Anyway, just warning you about the cons.

I open 2 year and 3 year old projects without any problems. I can tell SO v4 is more stable than Cubase 10 pro 10.0.10.

 

I just installed the patched 4.1.2 on top of the patched 4.1.1 and it is working fine. All plugins authorized.

Presonus S1 don't need eLicenser but challenge-response activation.
Pro Tools don't need eLicenser too but iLok dongle.

 

This one is only the Windows version.

Not really much in the way of improvement. You gain the ability to more easily save Versions of your mix but lose bend marker properly functioning, cue 4.1.3 maintenance update soon!

 

Rutracker came out 4.1.2 and everything works

 

It is not a legit version, R2R released it yesterday, but i didn't installed it yet.
