Don't take this the wrong way, but straight out offering money for person's work of which you'd be the judge - that's straight out the music business world - competitiveness over value, in your words "Treat this competitions like you are going into battle".
The founding pillars of this place were contrasting to that idea - everyone's work is equally valued, regardless of people's origin and/or skills. A place where money holds no value, to which many have joined to escape from the real world.

To be honest I just participated, because it sounded fun! The cash is just a little extra incentive, but I don't know if dollars are going to make me try any harder or not. The work I submit will still be the same. If it is not, then that is down to the submitter's values and not the competition...

So then reputation and respect becomes the main currency, which should make you try just as hard.

 

who I am I to judge if a man wants to put his balls on the table... for $20 bux... or even a fiver...

Bruh you trippin this isent about money if i wanted to pay for work to be done i wouldn't exactly come here and besides im a mix engineer why would i pay someone else i ix the records myself... all this is is a bit of fun and the money is a minuscule incentive besides there are other offers in the prize pool so calm down before you start reading me the constitution of america or something, just because you misinterpret what this is now i suggest you go open your daw and participate rather than put a downer on some weekend fun

just like any other mix competitions you do it for free ! so just because i offer money how does anyone loose , besides if you read the full description of the challenge it say if someone work is chosen as an official mix they will be paid just like if an engineer was hire so i suggest you open you daw and go get involved to who know maybe youll be able to pay your rent and move out ya mommas basement
