    Hi,

I composed and played all the instruments on this track recorded in 1996. With a Tascam 8 track and a D-50 / S-50 / Yamaha SY-99. More my violin, my Les Paul and my Takamine. My little singer who was very cute, has done his best for this title. The mix is disastrous. Too many effects on certain instruments, etc.

Anyways, it was a fun time.

20 years would be 1996?Or did you mean 30 years?
The mix is perhaps not good, but it has that pro touch, its pretty good.

:winker:

This sounds really good... actually.. I don't often prefer to hear singing in French.. but she has a versatile voice..
did she go on to some later successes? Really smooth...breathy...
the mix didn't bother me.. but I don't obsess over such things myself..alors !

also whatever @Studio 555 said.. :bleh: i gather he likes it aussi !

  7. It's when when you get to 45 years.

    The song remains the same.

I hear you, bro. You have skills. In spite of mix, your abilities shine through.

    Thanks to all :)

I wanted to ask your opinion about my track and it's done. Thanks.
Do you believe I can add one or two more, without people despise me, or tell me that this part of the forum is not made for that?

I have another problem. I can not record what comes out of my MD on my PC.
I have read the forums of which explained that he had to get out of the MD with a mini jack, and connect it into the microphone jack of the PC. Does not work. I also plugged my MD on RCA of my sound card. Does not work either. So what? Buy a CD burner of lounge with digital input, because my MD has one.

Someone would have a solution? Thanks a lot guys ;)

Track created in 1996 with Danny in voice. Same hardware than the other. The 8-track tape has not been well maintained. So dross in the track.

  15. In time we too will have crumbled and turned to dust. At least your songs that you recorded back then are now hopefully all achived. I lost almost all of my old material and have just a handful of things that were copied to cassette as well as a few Adat tapes that probably will sound like yours if I ever put them through an Alesis adat machine to give a shot at remixing the few things I have.

Yes. Initially, I made copies of my DAT Sony portable. At that time, this stuff was costing € 1000. But like everything, the magnetic tapes have started to deteriorate. So I moved everything to MD, which is much easier for the tracks search. I have for over 16 years and it is like new. Cassettes, if they are well protected (heat, light, cold and humidity) can live forever.

It was the singer of the band: Loop the Loop. In French his voice was more than irritating. But in English, it was changed completely. So, I offered three tracks. And we ended up working together.

Wow Tascam 8 track and a D-50. Was that Tascam 8 track a 388? Song is pretty kool. I like your violin playing.

A lot of respect for playing your own instruments.

    No. A Tascam 38B; 8 track, 10 1/2" reel to reel tape.
