1)Any way of getting FL to import mp3 files? Drag and drop, it displays the file name but its empty... no waveform, no sound, nothing.

2)This is really starting to fucking annoy me... When I load a sample from the browser, afterwards the browser auto-scrolls back to the very top. How do I stopr this from happening? My mouses scroll wheels gonna fall off soon :snuffy:

1/ FL does read MP3 files! if it happens with only a few, chances are your files have been badly encoded, re-encode them using a software like dbpoweramp for example. if it happens with all your MP3 files I suggest you uninstall FL, clean the registry of any entry it might have left behind, and reinstall it.

    2/see above!

you misread what I wrote, I never said it was a registry problem, I told you that you should uninstall FL, remove all entries left behind pertaining to FL and re install it.

I have FL installed on my machine and I can import MP3 files, theres no converting or anything else to do!....so I reckon your FL has somewhat a problem (as to top it all you also have a scrolling pb!) and the easiest and quickest way to solve it might be to unistall / reinstall FL.

For the scrolling issue, try reseting the browser view to default a "snapshot".

I've had this happen. Can't remember the solution - but reinstall seems reasonable.

    Annoying. But try reinstall?

Drag and Drop might not work on mp3 files, because you are currently playing that Mp3 file on any Media Player software, it could be the Windows built in media player, or any other one like VLC, Winamp, or whatever.
Try Closing all programs that keep the audio device occupied, then see if you can drag and drop those mp3 files again.

The only way FL doesn't load the audio file is changing the original file directory or misreading a extremely bad/low quality mp3. I have dropped anywhere from 64-320bit mp3s in FL no problem.
Since you have tried multiple version of FL Studio and received the same result. You may be missing a crucial codec/dll.
If this is the case this may help you

If worst comes to worst you can always convert it to wav in audacity. Actually that might be even better as you can also change the key and tempo of the track in audacity before importing it into fl.
