Jeff started it,im just peddling along :)
You guy should check out the fake Paul McCartney theory.
Supposedly he died and was replaced with a double, they call him....Faul.
Real Paul supposedly died in 67 in a car crash s and was replaced with a double, many people compare pictures and find differences.
Also the death of Paul is mentioned in some Beatles songs.

In September 1969, American college students published articles claiming that clues to McCartney's supposed death could be found among the lyrics and artwork of the Beatles' recordings. Clue-hunting proved infectious and, within a few weeks, had become an international phenomenon. Rumours declined after a contemporary interview with McCartney was published in Life magazine in November 1969.
A rumour circulated in London that Paul McCartney had been killed in a car crash after a January 1967 traffic accident involving his car

1967 Death of Paul McCartney theory(aka the replacement of Paul with Faul)

    Interesting topic, isn't ?

Wow... :woot: so this new 'Faul' is supposedly also a left-handed Bassist/Guitarist, what a coincidence, isn't ?

The differences between these two facial expressions could be explained with the help of : 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds'...
Older 'Members' and 'Users' of our beloved Forum will easily understand the hidden significance of the 3 letters in Bold !!!:rofl::rofl:

The 'Faul' facial expression could be explained by : "Wow... such a trip !!!"

    A last (personal) theory:

Out of the Music area (and if I'm not wrong !), as the 'real' Paul McCartney is astrologically a 'Geminis', this (damned !) 'Faul' must to be his astrological 'twin'... :guru:

The cynical side of me would say it was all probably just a marketing/publicity stunt created by them or their management or just seized upon and fostered after the first theory/rumor surfaced.

You should avoid complexity when solving problems, because far more often than not, the simplest explanation is the correct one. If your theory is correct, then you should expect the universe to be the way it is right now and not some other way. Your theory should explain as much as possible, and shouldn't require ad hoc to fill in the gaps. Your theory should not raise more questions than it answers. It should be a logical inference based on the empirical data and established facts.

As fun as it may be to think about such a con, it's extremely unlikely.

more than extremely unlikely...... it's not like Paul stopped writing great songs after 1967...... it's one thing to find a lookalike or a sound alike.... but where do you grab someone off the street to write "Maybe I'm Amazed"..... classic McCartney.

It was a long time without hearing about that urban legend again.
But let's say the story was true for a minute...
Can you imagine how men of vision, and fucking lucky, the other members of the band and EMI were to lose a genius like the real Paul and to have him replaced by someone as good as him ?
    ^^

It's a stunt typical of arty types and I've no doubt it is of the band's construct. I've lived in Liverpool all my life and now just a 10 minute walk from John Lennon's Aunt Mimi's, the 'Paul is Dead' theory is laughed at here by most who've even heard of it but I admit, it makes for a great read. Enjoy! My fav is still Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Rainbow'.
