I use the initials + birthday of my sister + the hex value of the first letter of my favourite band, but all typed with shift-key pressed. :bleh:

Why??? You got many free password managers with password generators

Folks, set up a password manager and then use automatically generated random passwords per site. You can use your browser's functionality as well.

For throwaway accounts use mailinator or temp-mail or somesuch to generate one-off email addresses. Never ever use the same login/pass combo twice.

If possible, setup 2FA for your key accounts, e-mail, personal cloud storage, banking, social media etc.

If you're uncertain on how to go about this, just ask me. I'll be glad to help.

    I started with 1111, and now I'm on 11111111.
But since I published it, I must add another 1 now.
(I stole the idea from my girlfriend, who used 0000).

    Handy stuff, this!

Reminds me of old nerd lore, that "foobar1" is the standard password and "foobar2" is the high security password. Yeah, I'm an old nerd.

I think the best password to have is :-

"The password you've selected has not been recognised"

That way hackers will never know they have the right one!

I remember once a gf trying to setup an email acc called me to help her..

me: 'what did you put in for username?'
    her: 'my name, lisa, duh..!'
me: 'and passw..' ..then I noticed on screen in red: username and password can't be the same!, and told her..

..and she was like: 'gosh, they're so annoying.. ok ok I'll put in lisa19'

I've got an annoying e-mail alert from Google a few times, it said that my password had been breached and published, so I should change it immediately.
I went to my google account and going through some illogical steps found out that the leaked password Google referred to was not of my account but a saved password for a web login. It was the default "admin" password for the TP-Link routers I've been configuring time to time for whichever friend, neighbor etc. So, these morons classify these default passwords amongst the weak user passwords, when they could have filtered them by the obvious IP addresses.

:winker: A password should always have that "Je ne sais, quoi..." ring about it. Of course my favorite has always been 5o5sjJx7umbIbsE79YajFjDl0DPvVowOAssES06PGXB39IOPhhmepjSCAv700gT (for its poetic cadence). Some will think I'm an idiot disclosing it here, yet rest assured I've outsmarted them already. You see, I have unexpectedly replaced it - for all my logins - with my second favorite,
r8us53r1CY9iMk7sEL6ssBBQEVslFoPpp4PNuzwqwz8YLdj8PiAJgg7wuJ3hZZ9 (which has a funky but unique rhythm to it, so will prove equally easy to remember).

The most are like the most used Spanish passwords in 2021
I will add to that list : the birthday date, and that enterprises are using the name of the company itself as a password to protect their computers:rofl:
Admin/password or Administrator/password is also a classic
