It's not out yet. The last PT release had partial integration, but the forthcoming version has Melodyne fully merged in the PT GUI....
Fingers crossed we'll get it when the ARA update to PT with Melodyne integration is released. I've had my fingers crossed for so long now waiting...

Why choose to use any DAW today...maybe it's simply the interface some people prefer to use.
Used to use them years ago, bt got frustrated by the lack of flexibility with some of them. I much prefer to be able to strip a sound source back...
Just chop the audio in your DAW and export the chopped regions as new files. Pretty sure most DAWs can do this function.
Not a reese...& not a bass either really. It's just a load of saw waves detuned and stacked up....some synths might have a supersaw oscillator...
