Agreed. In my experience the best use-case for Linear Phase EQ is if you need to high-pass or low-pass something and don't want the phase shift....
As far as i'm concerned the only way they could improve soothe 2 is if they created new algorithm(s) such as Linear Phase or Dynamic Phase modes....
