Clip gain is a key component in gain staging, not that everyone knows what that is, or does it.....
At this point Avid knows what's going on anyway, I've blocked all access to it in the firewall, it still works
VCA's are useful though, I've never used the clip gain line or heat, but I do use clip gain, for the purpose of gain staging

Have to disagree on this one, I have an Audient ID14 and the preamps sound great on it, supposedly the same ones they use on their console units,...

The problem with all these DAW companies, Reaper and Bandlab excluded, is they're so busy worrying about anti piracy measures that their software...
For some reason I took to PT like a duck to water, the learning curve wasn't as bad as Reaper in my opinion, I can also use Cubase, it's similar...
Cubase doesn't get near as much hate as Pro Tools, trust me on that....
I believe under this model Steinberg and Avid will lose a good percentage of customers who have smaller project studios, and those are the one's...
