Disc 1 of of the original 8 DVD's was borked If you didnt use DVD 1 'proper' ... It's not going to work. Search for ... Spectrasonics...

unload LUSH and watch the 'crickle' go away.. its def. not designed for an older i5.
LUSH is a massive CPU hog.. probably most of your problem right there.
Work on a new UI... hasnt been updated in... ever? Just because you are happy with how it looks and works doesn't mean other are.. and... all...
