agree with you on the mixer, freeze, midi editor, upgrades ...as for scanning id never had an issue, not even a crash, as long as you do a fast...
no one beats the TubeOhm Pure-G ...its a very very nice soft synth ...i recommended it over Alchemy and many others out there ...just try the demo...
if id be able to use all win vst's and programs with no performance loss id say yes ...but im fine with win here too ...if id be a dev id be...
