from what you're saying, i can tell you're on Mac Os X with a legit copy of Pro Tools 11, so i'll inform you, that Legit Pro Tools don't accept...
try converting the file, probably cubase doesn't support 96khz, you wont need it anyway, 48khz is more than enough.
i don't play piano, i didn't go to musical school, i only watch real performance on youtube, to kinda understand how piano works from the player...
watch réel piano player and you will rock ;)
