I was talking about my own question, yours aren't dumb at all. Di's will basically turn your guitar signal into something similar to a mic signal...
DI box.
Guitar signal is analog, USB is digital, you can't connect analog to digital without going through something (like an audio interface) that...
1-Yes, soundtracks are a good example of that, but some "standard music" albums follow a certain narrative and are sort of a point in between to...
Exactly. DI's were made to change the impedance/ballance of a signal, they will color and they will change your sound as a side effect, but wether...
In practical terms, you NEED a DI box if you want to run your instrument through long distances without adding extra noise since the output will...
Afaik M=L+R and S=L-R. There's probably more complexity to it, but it's still two channels.
True. I've been A/B-ing the thing with plugins and there's definetively an improvement in terms of timing but the sound is pretty similar,...
Why not? Shouldn't it be like: Stereo source from DAW->MS encoder (Like reaper's or wave's)->harware out->comp (unlinked)->hardware in->MS Decoder
I bought an SSL comp replica from stam and belive me, the price is just the beggining. You'll be waiting for several years before the thing is...
Aside from the drums thing, i think it's pretty solid, love the atmosphere particularly. Plus, it's 4:20 minutes long
I'm listening on headphones and the drums do sound a bit weird, kind of as if they were playing behind me. Looking the phase correlation meter it...
Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene (1-6) [MEDIA] Jean Michel Jarre - Equinoxe [MEDIA]
Don't worry the industry is not gonna die, because it's not supposed to. The real question is, do you want to be a part of it as it is right now?...
It was Tennet, wasn't it? It's always Tennet.
I have tried a few (ample, ezbass, modo bass, native instruments stuff). EZbass sounds and feels the most realistic imo if you just want to put...
Well, yeah? Isn't that what i said in my own very special way? Anyway, i guess it's clearer now. Just for the record, yes, i totally agree,...
Care to enlighten me? I ment -18dBfs sample peak, and by target i ment "around". Not that i use that, mostly i don't go for specific numbers,...
Vu meters have a fairly slow attack-release time, so it makes sense quick transients won't register. But i was talking about clipping the bus...
-18dB has it's advantages beyond analog emulations too. If you're routing too many signals to a bus you may be clipping the input without noticing...
