Any good reverb (other than IR-1, Altiverb) have a reverse setting? (both are overkill. doing it by hand works, but i dont like.
Actual with Ableton Reverb i couldnt achieve a good gated reverb FX sound, the predelay was to short and it had no good control over decay and attack.

I would use Google Drive as Backup, they are cheap and as long as you not share files, they will stay there. But why do you want to backup samples...
