I was referring to timeline vs ReaVerb.
Worked both here. Also I can't imagine that only one of these are working. ReaVerb is a very simple IR player, as far as I got it.

So, the Scarlett and the monitors are working and you know how to set them up. That is an important info. Conclusion, the problem must be the PC....
I suppose you either messed up the hardware cabling, or your interface isn't recognized/selected as a sound device. Or the Scarlett is broken.
Additional infos about the soundcard, hard and software routing would be helpful.

? I did this neither. I just switched to the next ER and that part of the GUI went 'blank' as you can see in my simple screenshot in my post #6
Miroslav Philharmonik 2 has a similar sound (Strings, Ensembles, Basses, Basses Detache, 4 Basses Detache p).
I think these are just played notes, by double basses, with very low velocity.
Acustica Audio. Sadly, you need a pretty good CPU to use it for mixing.
I never cared much about a metronome's sound. So I use(d) either Reaper's or drums.
Looks like, some audio applications seem to have problems with these files.
I just made a quick test with ReaVerb, all worked perfectly fine.
