Test each ram, in each slot by themselves, then two by two again, try every possible scenario, and see if it is either a bad slot or a bad ram...
Take them out. Replace Slots. Reset Bios. Should be Fixed.

from what i know is that, only servers actually need to be cracked, using mac as a slave does only require the slave install files, and they don't...
i do prefer this, so i can do both of that and share CPU processing power with the whole network. But i don't have the VSL 6 for Mac, do you ?
